    The Village of Elm Grove, Wisconsin (population of approximately 6,000) initiated its deer management program in 2000, when the village board approved the recommendation of its Ad Hoc Committee on Wildlife Management and implemented a sharpshooter and netting program. Elm Grove’s deer management program is coordinated in partnership with the neighboring city of Brookfield and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
